Yestrday in Shyrokyne of Donetsk region the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Joint Center for control and coordination of the ceasefire Major General Andriy Taran presented to Deputy Head of the OSCE SMM Alexandr Khuh and the representative of Armed Forces of the Russian Federation proposals of Ukrainian side on the complex measures for the demilitarization of Shyrokyne zone, reports ATO press center.
According to Major General Andriy Taran, Ukrainian side have fulfilled their obligations to Joint Center and prepared a draft document in time.
“The Ukrainian side believes that the priority issue now is the demilitarization of Shyrokyne. Therefore Minsk Agreement and its principles and criteria should become the basis for all further work in this direction”, – said Major General.
Plan for the demilitarization of Shyrokyne, in particular, provides a complete ceasefire, withdrawal of military forces to certain distance, setting webcams and Ukrainian experts demining village and surrounding area.
For your interest, on April 15, ATO Staff press center reported that members of the Joint Center for control and coordination of the ceasefire in the Donbas and the inspection team of the OSCE SMM examined in detail the issue of demilitarization of the village Shyrokyne in Donetsk region.
