In particular, one house in Shchastya completely burned down, and a couple of others were damaged. As a result of shelling, a local church, water and electricity supply lines were damaged. Also a local civilian nurse from Shchastya was wounded during militants` shelling, said Col. Andriy Lysenko, presidential administration spokesperson on the ATO-related issues.
In Stanytsia Luhanska, Shchastya, Zhovte and Popasna district, the enemy made a series of extremely powerful attacks with 120-mm mortars, 122-mm and 152-mm artillery. The number of shells fired at Ukrainian positions counts in dozens. In addition, in the daytime, a series of shootings between Ukrainian troops and militants occurred near Popasna.
In the Donetsk sector, occupiers continue following tactics of massive attacks at Ukrainian positions with heavy weapons across the entire front line. Especially strained situation dominated in Novhorodske, Verhniotoretske and Khrasnohorivka from midnight till seven A.M.
Major hostilities in the Mariupol sector were recorded in its south (front line section stretching from Hnutove to Shyrokyne). Militants also used mortars in Taramchuk, Talakivka, Vodiane and Lebedynske. Also, more than a dozen shootings between the ATO forces and militants occurred in Maryinka and Shyrokyne.
Yesterday, five flights of enemy UAVs were recorded in the ATO area.
Over the previous day, Ukrainian Armed Forces did not incur any casualties; one soldier was wounded in action.
Enemy losses accounted to three militants dead and eight wounded.
