Most intensive hostilities occurred yesterday near Svitlodarsk, in Avdiyivka industrial zone and near the Donetsk airport. The enemy again used tanks and artillery in the area of the Donetsk airport. Once again, Russia backed militants shelled Ukrainian positions in the rear area near Keramik which is 13 kilometers west from the line of battle clash. Also, powerful enemy shelling occurred in the northern outskirts of occupied Horlivka, said Col. Andriy Lysenko, presidential administration spokesperson on the ATO-related issues.
In the Luhansk sector, the number of enemy attacks doubled. Such hotspots remain: Popasna area, Bakhmut road, Zhovte and Stanytsia Luhanska. Militants intensify shelling closer to the evening and continue their attacks till late night. Enemy snipers were active near the Bakhmut road and Popasna.
Over the previous day, no artillery was applied in the Mariupol sector by the enemy, while militants actively shelled Ukrainian positions with mortars and once applied MLRS “Hrad” in Krasnohorivka. Places where militants were most active included front line Maryinka – Krasnohorivka and Shyrokyne. Also, in the morning, Russian occupants conducted intensive mortar attack against ATO forces in Pavlopil, having fired 60 mines. Another instance of enemy application of mortars against ATO forces was recorded late at night near Taramchuk.
Yesterday, in the ATO area, three flights of enemy UAVs were recorded.
Over the previous day, one Ukrainian soldier was killed in action, nine were injured. Also, two Ukrainian soldiers suffered concussion.
Yesterday enemy losses came up to six militants killed in action and 13 wounded.
