The number of war victims in Donbas is now more than 9,3 thousand people.
This was stated by Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Tayé-Brook Zerihoun, ‘112 Ukraine’ reports.
“The overall number of people affected by the conflict is growing. At the moment, there are more than 30,700 people. Since the beginning of the conflict in 2014, 9,333 people died, while around 21,4 thousand people suffered injuries”, he said.
Previously, the UN has stated that the war in Donbas affected lives of 30,346 people: over 9,000 people have been killed and 21,000 people – wounded.
Besides, the two-year long conflict in eastern Ukraine has left around 1.5 million people hungry.
