As it became known, the post of “deputy commander of the 1st mechanized infantry battalion of the 3rd separate motorized rifle brigade (Horlivka, Ukraine) of 1 AC (Donetsk, Ukraine) Center of territorial troops (Novocherkassk, Russia) of RF AF Southern District(Rostov-on-Don)” was held by the Armed Forces Major General Iskuzhenov Ruslan  Tulihenovych – Uspanov under cover identification documents. Ruslan Iskuzhenov was born on 12/01/1984 in Paltsivka village (Omsk region), studied at Omsk Cadet Corps, and graduated from Novosibirsk Higher Military Command School in 2007.

Major Iskuzhenov was sent to Donbas in accordance with the order of the Minister of Defense of 01/22/2015 №0019.

To reduce the risk of mass unrest and avoidance of missions to Donbass, the Russian military command encourages its generals and officers, in particular, by giving higher rank. Thus, Major General of the RF Armed Forces S. Tsekov that commanded the 2 nd separate motorized rifle brigade (Luhansk) of 2 AC (Luhansk) of RF Armed Forces during autumn 2014 – spring 2015 was appointed to the highest post of the commander of the 4th Armored Division of 1st Panzer Army (Bakovka -Odintsovo, Moscow region) of RF AF Western Military District.. The next rank of “Major General” he received on February 21, 2015 for participating in hostilities in Donbas.
