Sentsov is sentenced to 20 years in prison of strict regime and Kolchenko – 10 years for multiple charges, reports Radio Svoboda from the courtroom.
After verdict had been delivered, Koltchenko and Sentsov started singing Ukrainian anthem.
As reported earlier, the prosecutor demanded 23 years in strict regime prison for Sentsov and 12 years for Kolchenko.
As known, Ukrainian director Sentsov and activist Kolchenko were arrested by Russian law enforcers in Crimea in May 2014.
According to the investigators, activists planned to carry out terrorist attacks and sabotage in several Crimean cities.
During the trial the key witness renounced his testimony, claiming that he had been tortured.
The second witness refused to testify in court.
International human rights organization Amnesty International in Ukraine states, that the case against Sentsov and Kolchenko is fabricated.
