SSU Published Evidence of Russian GRU Special Forces 3rd Group’s Participation in Ukraine

On May 17 the Main Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine launched criminal proceedings under Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization) against two detainees, commandos of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia. Evidence of Russian military crimes in Ukraine was announced by the SSU today.

It should be recalled that on May 16 fighters of 92nd Brigade during combat took two Russian soldiers captive. Among them were Commander of Special Forces Group of the 3rd Brigade of the Armed Forces (permanent location in Tolyatti) Captain Evgeniy Yerofeev and Deputy Commander of Special Forces Group Sergeant Oleksandr Alexandrov, who were wounded during the clash. Alexandrov  confirmed on-camera that he was a Russian contract serviceman and was arrested during his combat mission.

Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentyn Nalyvaichenko said that the detained Russian will be charged for terrorism.
